00 Divisional Commissioner reviewed the preparations, inspected the venues and also took stock of the preparations
Raipur. Bastar Division Commissioner Doman Singh today reviewed the preparations for the division-level Bastar Olympics-2025. He inspected the sports grounds selected for the event at the divisional headquarters in Jagdalpur and took stock of the ongoing preparations there. He asked for strengthening the sports grounds as well as other arrangements. Commissioner Mr. Singh said in the meeting that Bastar Olympics is an important platform for the culture, sports talent and community participation of the Bastar region. All its arrangements should be ensured with high quality. He gave necessary guidelines to the officials regarding the venues, accommodation and transportation arrangements for the participants, other necessary facilities, technical arrangements, security and traffic management. 

Bastar IG Sundarraj P. instructed the officials in the meeting to complete all the arrangements including security arrangements on time, so that the participants and spectators do not face any inconvenience. He asked to pay special attention to important aspects like necessary arrangements for the participants of Nuwa Baat, availability of medical team, complete arrangements for the players coming from other districts, drinking water etc. In the meeting, separate responsibilities were also assigned to the officials for the division level organization of Bastar Olympics, which include responsibilities related to sports management, accommodation, food, transportation, cultural programs and technical operations. 

The meeting also reviewed the medals and trophies to be awarded to the winning players. Following the meeting, officials inspected the venues and sports grounds to review the preparations. Bastar Collector Mr. Haris S., Superintendent of Police Mr. Shalabh Sinha, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Prateek Jain, and Additional Collector and In-Charge Sports Officer Mr. Rishikesh Tiwari, along with officials from all relevant departments, were also present.

More than 391,000 athletes from all seven districts of the Bastar division registered to participate in the Bastar Olympics 2025. Winners of cluster, block, and district-level competitions will participate in the Bastar Olympics. Approximately 500 Nuva Baat teams, along with 3,000 athletes, coaches, and other support staff, will participate in the division-level competition. Football, volleyball, karate, weightlifting, and badminton competitions will be held at the City Ground during the division-level event. Hockey matches will be held at the Khelo India Center in Pandripani. Kabaddi, kho-kho, archery, athletics, and tug-of-war competitions will be held at the Dharampura Sports Complex. The opening and closing ceremonies of the division-level Bastar Olympics will be held at the Priyadarshini Stadium.
