Raipur . Preparations have intensified for the mega final and closing ceremony of the MP Sports Festival, to be held on December 23, 24, and 25 in the capital Raipur. On Saturday, MP and senior BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal held a high-level meeting to review the arrangements and provided necessary guidelines to officials and organizers involved in the event. The meeting placed special emphasis on player facilities, security arrangements, and mutual coordination.

The growing recognition of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav is also indicated by a letter from Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, in which he extended his best wishes to MP Brijmohan Agrawal for the event. This is being seen as a testament to the event's prestige as well as a recognition of Agrawal's efforts towards sports development.

According to MP Agarwal, the mega finals will be held on December 23rd and 24th at Subhash Stadium, Spray School, J.N. Pandey School, and the International Swimming Pool. Approximately 5,000 athletes will participate in these competitions. Selected athletes from all nine assembly constituencies of the Raipur Lok Sabha constituency, including Raipur Municipal Corporation, Abhanpur, Arang, Tilda, Dharsiva, Baloda Bazar, Bhatapara, and Simga blocks, will compete in 13 sports: wrestling, kho-kho, gendi race, phugdi, tug-of-war, rope skipping, kabaddi, basketball, chess, volleyball, swimming, weightlifting, and bodybuilding. On December 25th, Good Governance Day, a grand closing ceremony will be held at the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Auditorium. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the athletes and the gathering via video conferencing. Prizes will be presented to the winners, while senior and distinguished athletes from the state will be honored with shawls and certificates. National-level athletes will also be present.

MP Brijmohan Agrawal stated that the Sansad Khel Mahotsav is not merely a competition, but a campaign to identify and promote sporting talent. The event's objective is to provide a platform to hidden talents from villages to cities, elevating them to the state and national levels. He added that, furthering Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Khelo India" and "Developed India," this festival is spreading discipline, health, and self-confidence to the masses.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep, SDM Nand Kumar Dubey, Chhattisgarh Swimming Association President Kailash Murarka, officials of various sports associations, District Education Officer, Sports Officer and senior players were present in the meeting.
