The expansion of health services in both rural and urban areas has completely transformed the landscape of Jashpur. While previously, residents of remote areas had to travel long distances for even basic treatment and safe delivery, high-quality medical facilities are now available within the district. Complex services like dialysis, once unimaginable, are now becoming accessible to residents.
The district received many historical gifts in the field of health in the last two years:
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, several major decisions have been taken to strengthen health infrastructure. The Finance Department's in-principle approval of ₹359 crore for the establishment of a medical college in Jashpur will prove to be a milestone for the district. Additionally, the approval of ₹32 crore for the construction of a 220-bed state-of-the-art hospital has laid the foundation for a high-level medical system in the district. Construction of a modern hospital at a cost of ₹35 crore is progressing rapidly within the All India Kalyan Ashram campus, establishing Jashpur as a major health center in the future. To promote nursing education, approval has been granted for the construction of a nursing college building at a cost of ₹8.78 crore, ensuring the permanent availability of trained nursing staff in the district.
Maternal and child health gets priority:
Strengthening maternal and child health services, the construction of a 50-bed Mother-Child Hospital in Kunkuri is underway at a cost of Rs 8.77 crore. Furthermore, the approval of a Physiotherapy College in the district at a cost of Rs 14 crore and a Naturopathy building in Kunkuri at a cost of Rs 2 crore 62 lakh has made health services multifaceted. At the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the Satya Sai Maternity and Child Hospital will soon be established in the district's Farsabahar headquarters, providing its services not only to the district residents but also to neighboring states. This is a major gift for the residents of the Nagalog region. Now, this will prove to be a boon for the people in the field of health.
Emergency services in the district get a new impetus:
Emergency medical services in the district have expanded significantly under the direction of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. To ensure prompt assistance in health emergencies, 10 new 108 Sanjeevani ambulances have been provided to the district. A total of 24 Sanjeevani Express ambulances are now providing life-saving services in the district. Additionally, 18 102 Mahatari Express ambulances are ensuring safe delivery by transporting pregnant women to hospitals on time. The availability of a hearse in each development block has provided significant relief to rural families during difficult times.
Rural areas got support due to the gift of new health centers:
Strengthening the district's health infrastructure at the grassroots level, approval has been granted for the construction of a Community Health Center building in Kotba at a cost of ₹4.37 crore (43.7 million rupees). Additionally, approval has been granted for the establishment of five new Primary Health Centers in Petamara (Ankira) and Ganjhiyadih in Farsabahar tehsil, Kardega and Serimkela in Duldula tehsil, and Keradih in Kunkuri tehsil, which will enhance health facilities in rural areas. Today, Jashpur has entered a new era in healthcare.
