Government is committed to ensure all-round development of Bastar region: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai*

*Chief Minister Shri Sai had a cordial meeting with the Panchayat representatives of Sukma district*

Raipur, January 6, 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai was today paid a courtesy visit to the Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya, Raipur, by public representatives from remote village panchayats of Sukma district, who were visiting the capital under the Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Parivahan Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Sai held cordial conversations with the panchayat representatives and inquired about their well-being.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that ensuring the all-round development of the Bastar region is a top priority for the state government. He said that the state government is continuously working to provide basic amenities such as education, health, roads, electricity, and drinking water to every village in Bastar.

During discussions with public representatives, he stated that the state government is also rapidly carrying out development work in the Bastar region. The Chief Minister added that securityforces camps are being established in remote areas, providing both security and speed to development work.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that government ration shops have now been established in most villages and the benefits of various public welfare schemes are effectively reaching the common citizens. He said that in the near future, the Bastar region will be completely Naxal-free.

The Chief Minister said that the state government is continuously striving towards the goal of a self-reliant Bastar. To this end, public representatives from the Bastar region are being provided opportunities to visit the capital, so that they can be inspired by the development work here and promote all-round development in their areas as well.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma and concerned officials were present on this occasion.

It is noteworthy that under the Hamar Chhattisgarh Jan Parikrama Yojana, approximately 100 Panchayat representatives from various remote Gram Panchayats of Sukma district have come on a two-day tour to the capital Raipur. During the tour, the representatives were taken to important sites such as the Mantralaya, Jungle Safari, Tribal Museum, Railway Station, Airport, and Shopping Mall.
