Raipur. Under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), the process of registering Vaya Vandana cards for all senior citizens aged 70 and above in the district is ongoing. Eligible senior citizens holding Aadhaar cards are being provided free healthcare services up to ₹5 lakh per year through this card.

Along with this, Ayushman cards are also being made for all eligible members of families who have ration cards and whose names are registered in the ration cards. Through the Ayushman card, free treatment facilities can be availed in listed government and private hospitals.
The Health Department has appealed to the citizens that those beneficiaries who have not yet made Vaya Vandana Card or Ayushman Card for themselves or the senior citizens of their families, should immediately go to their nearest government health center or Choice Center and get themselves registered.
