Governor Shri Ramen Deka launched the first National Rover-Ranger Jamboree, calling on the youth to contribute to nation building.

 Raipur-- The first National Rover-Ranger Jamboree was inaugurated today in village Dudhli near district headquarters Balod in the chief hospitality of Governor Shri Ramen Deka. The Governor said on the occasion that Jamboree is not just a camp but a celebration of unity, diversity, brotherhood and common goals. In the program, Minister of School Education Mr. Gajendra Yadav, National President of India Scouts and Guides Dr. Anil Jain, Chief State Commissioner Mr. Inderjit Singh Khalsa, National and State level officials and a large number of Rover-Rangers from different states of the country were present. Governor Sri Deka and the guests lit the lamp and released balloons in the sky to formally launch the program. Jamboree magazine and new badges were also released by the governor and guests in the ceremony. Governor Shri Ramen Deka said on the occasion that Scout-Guide inspires the youth to move forward on the path of leadership, discipline and success. He called upon the youth to do at least one positive thing for the society and play an active role in nation building. This National Rover-Ranger Jamboree being held for the first time in the country is a matter of pride for the entire nation. School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav said in his address that scout-guide is a powerful means of connecting youth with life values, discipline and social obligations. He said that Rover-Ranger are the youth of the country, who have the passion to do something good for the society, the nation and the world. He welcomed and congratulated all the participants and described this event as a fortunate opportunity for the youth of Chhattisgarh and the country. Chief National Commissioner of India Scout Guide Dr. KK Khandelwal described this first National Rover Ranger Jamboree event in village Dudhli as historic and very important. Chief State Commissioner Mr. Inderjit Singh Khalsa said that this event is another important achievement in the golden chapter of Chhattisgarh. He thanked all the helpers. Governor Shri Deka and the guests were greeted by an attractive march past by Rovers and Rangers present from various states. On the occasion of the launch of the first National Rover Ranger Jamboree, the Rover Rangers from various states presented colorful cultural programs and spread the colorful hues of Indian culture. It is noteworthy that in this 5-day event, apart from all the states of the country, the participants of Rover Ranger from a total of 33 states including Railways, Navodaya Vidyalaya are participating. Apart from Bharat Scouts Guides officers, Rover Rangers, other public representatives and a large number of common citizens were present.
