'A state-of-the-art sports academy being built under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai

During his visit to Baghicha, the Chief Minister performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the Archery Academy.

Jashpurnagar . During his one-day visit to Bagicha development block yesterday, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai performed the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of Archery Academy being built at a cost of Rs 20 crore 53 lakh for the children of special backward tribe Pahari Korwa.

 According to information received from the relevant department, tenders are underway to build an archery academy in Pandapath, Sanna tehsil, Bagicha development block. Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Jashpur, has been appointed as the executing agency.

Jashpur district has been known as a land of sporting talent since its inception. Its athletes have brought honor to Jashpur not only within the state but also across the country and abroad through their outstanding athletic skills. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is well versed in Jashpur's folk culture and its love for sports. Under his leadership, concrete steps are being taken to promote sports and provide better opportunities for athletes. As part of the development of sports infrastructure in the district, modern stadiums and playgrounds are being rapidly constructed. Through various important sporting events, talented athletes are getting a golden opportunity to showcase their abilities and advance.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, approval and construction of stadiums and playgrounds are being rapidly carried out to strengthen sports infrastructure in Jashpur district. The Pahari Korwa community, a specially protected tribe residing in the district, is inherently skilled in archery. To hone this traditional skill and gain national and international recognition, a state-of-the-art archery academy will be constructed in Sanna at a cost of ₹20.53 crore. This academy will feature all modern facilities, including a library, medical center, nursery, herbal plantation, state-of-the-art grounds, changing rooms, coach rooms, equipment center, skill development center, training rooms, warden and guard rooms. Arrangements for equipment, transportation buses, and high-mast lights will also be made.

 Players and citizens expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister.

 Sports enthusiasts and common citizens say that Chief Minister Sai has always considered sports a means of development for society and youth. His priorities have included expanding sports facilities and providing sports infrastructure to rural areas. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, they said that Jashpur's athletes will now be better prepared to showcase their talent at the national and international levels. This initiative will give a new identity to the sports culture in the district and inspire future generations to take up sports.
