Raipur . Various wards of Ravishankar Nagar Zone of Municipal Corporation Korba received the gift of new development works worth Rs 3 crore 20 lakh today. The ground breaking ceremony of all these development works was done by the hands of the State's Commerce, Industry, Labour, Excise and Public Enterprises Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan during the Bhoomi Pujan programmes organised at different places under his chief hospitality and under the chairmanship of Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput. Industry Minister Shri Devangan and Mayor Smt. Rajput, while performing the Bhoomi Pujan of the development works, instructed the officials to start the work soon and complete these works within the time limit by working with complete quality.

Municipal Corporation Korba has to construct culvert and drain from Ward No. 34 Dadar Road Culvert to Manikpur Muktidham at a cost of Rs. 1 crore 84 lakhs. Similarly, under Pt. Ravishankar Shukla Zone, kitchen sheds are to be constructed in 6 government schools at a cost of Rs. 36 lakhs and boys and girls toilets are to be constructed in 12 government schools at a cost of Rs. 60 lakhs. Similarly, the corporation has to construct road in Ward No. 33 Manikpur Diparapara at a cost of Rs. 25 lakhs and under Ward No. 26, construction work of internal lanes of Krishna Nagar from Vinay Singh Ghar to in front of Jaitkhabh and from Dadar Main Road to Culvert near Kumhar Ghar at a cost of Rs. 15 lakhs is to be done.

On this occasion, Industry Minister Shri Devangan said in his address that along with the all-round development of the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, a historic improvement is being brought about in the condition of the schools, the temples of education. Due to lack of toilets or dilapidated toilets in the schools, students and teachers faced a lot of inconvenience, but during the last 02 years, extensive work has been done in this direction. The facility of well-equipped and clean toilets in schools, construction of cycle stands, kitchen sheds, construction of additional rooms, renovation of dilapidated schools, construction of new buildings, construction of boundary walls etc. are being done on a large scale. He further said that we are fortunate that we are continuously receiving the blessings of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the all-round development of the state of Chhattisgarh. As far as the development of Korba is concerned, with the guidance and cooperation of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Urban Administration Minister Shri Arun Sao, there is no shortage of funds for development in Korba. As a result of this, development works are being continuously carried out on a large scale as per the demands and needs of the people here.

On this occasion, Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput said in her address that the people of Korba elected Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan as their MLA and chose me as their Mayor, this was their trust in us, I assure you that this trust of the people of Korba will never be broken, their faith will always remain intact. She said that under the guidance of Industry Minister Shri Lakhanlal Devangan, continuous development work is going on in the corporation area, which will continue in future also. For the development of Korba, we are getting full support and blessings of the Chief Minister of the state Shri Vishnudev Sai.
