Sensational case: Bones stolen from Muktidham, family files complaint at police station

A sensational case of bone theft has come to light from the Indian town of Muktidham in Bilaspur, the judicial capital of Chhattisgarh. After the cremation of a deceased person, his ashes were kept safely in a container at the Muktidham.
The next day, when the family arrived at the crematorium to prepare for the immersion of the ashes, they found the vessel empty. This horrified the family, and an atmosphere of grief and anger descended upon the entire family.
During the investigation, footage from CCTV cameras installed at the crematorium emerged. In the footage, two women are seen carrying an urn containing ashes. Recognizing this, the deceased's family members have leveled serious allegations against the deceased's wife. They say the wife had been living separately for a long time and there was a family dispute between the two parties.
The family, shocked by the incident, arrived at the Civil Lines police station with the empty urn containing the ashes and filed a written complaint. They described the incident as an insult to their religious sentiments and demanded strict action against the perpetrators.
The Civil Lines police station has registered a case and begun investigation. According to the police, the women are being identified based on CCTV footage and the entire case will be solved soon.
