Jashpur district gets development works worth Rs 51.73 crore

Raipur--Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has said that Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards prosperity. Naxalism, which once posed a serious challenge to Chhattisgarh, is now rapidly moving towards its end. Development work is now being carried out rapidly in every region of the state. Shri Sai was addressing a program organized today in Kotba, Jashpur district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan for development works worth approximately Rs 51.73 crore at the programme. He announced the construction of Swami Atmanand Utkrisht Vidyalaya Bhawan in Kotba, establishment of Tehsil Link Court, construction of Rest House, construction of Indoor Stadium, additional funds required for Kotba Water Augmentation Scheme, construction of Community Building in Kokiyakhar and posting of SDM (Link Court) one day a week in Baghbahar. The works for which he inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan today mainly include Bhoomi Pujan for the construction of Community Health Centre building at a cost of Rs 4.37 crore and inauguration of Water Augmentation Scheme constructed at a cost of Rs 9.85 crore and Press Club building.
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that most of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guarantees have been fulfilled. People are directly benefiting from these. He added that approximately ₹3,000 crore has been approved for the repair and development of irrigation projects in the state to provide better irrigation facilities to farmers. 750 roads have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
The Chief Minister stated that Chhattisgarh will play a leading role in fulfilling the Prime Minister's commitment to a developed India. A vision document has been prepared to elevate Chhattisgarh to a developed state by 2047. The new industrial policy is yielding positive results, with Chhattisgarh receiving investment proposals worth more than ₹7.83 lakh crore so far, and work on these proposals is progressing rapidly.
At the event, the Chief Minister honored the medal winners of the 36th Sub-Junior National Softball Championship. On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, he encouraged meritorious students who secured first, second, and third positions in the 10th and 12th board examinations in the district under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign by presenting them with checks and certificates.
Chief Minister's wife Smt. Kaushalya Sai, MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, District Panchayat Chairman Shri Salik Sai, Matikala Board Chairman Shri Shambhunath Chakraborty, Chairman of Self-Employed Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation Shri Surendra Kumar Besra, former MLA Shri Bharat Sai, along with many public representatives and a large number of citizens were present in the program.
