7.15 crore approved for Kenda Diversion and Salka Navagaon Lift Irrigation Scheme

Raipur. The Chhattisgarh Government, Water Resources Department has approved ₹3,22,73,000 for the strengthening and lining of the canals of the Kenda Diversion Scheme under the Kota development block of Bilaspur district. Upon completion of the proposed works, irrigation facilities will be available in the entire designed area, including filling the shortfall of 663 hectares in the planned irrigation area of ​​1,093 hectares. ₹3,92,48,000 has been approved 
for the renovation of the main canal of the Salka Navagaon Lift Irrigation Scheme under the Kota development block and cement concrete lining of the minor canals. Upon completion of the proposed works of this scheme, irrigation facilities will be available in the entire designed area, including filling the shortfall of 836 hectares in the planned irrigation area of ​​1,214 hectares. Administrative approval has been granted to the Chief Engineer, Hasdeo Kachhar Water Resources Department, to complete the irrigation works.
