Raipur. Chhattisgarh Government, Water Resources Department has approved Rs 2 crore 92 lakh 64 thousand for the works of two irrigation schemes under Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district. Among the approved works, Rs 88 lakh 32 thousand has been approved for remodeling and CC lining work of the canal of Maharatola reservoir of development block-Chhuikhadan. After completion of the proposed works, against the designed irrigation capacity of 67 hectares, the shortfall of 52 hectares will be compensated and 3 hectares additional irrigation will be provided from saved water, thus providing irrigation facility to a total area of ​​70 hectares. Similarly, Rs 2 crore 4 lakh 32 thousand has been approved for the renovation of the top work of Kanshi Nala diversion of development block-Chhuikhadan and lining work of the canal. After completion of the proposed works, the shortfall of 27 hectares against the designed irrigation capacity of 57 hectares will be compensated and 30 hectares additional irrigation will be provided through saved water, thus irrigation facility will be available in a total area of ​​87 hectares.
