Campaign for empowerment of disabled people will be intensified across the state: Kavadiya
Raipur: Mr. Lokesh Kavadia, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation , stated that, in accordance with the state government's vision, all welfare schemes will be provided to persons with disabilities in a timely and effective manner. During his visit to Bilaspur, he held a detailed review of the schemes in a meeting with officials from the district administration and the Social Welfare Department.
Mr. Kavadia directed that training programs be directly linked to employment and income generation, enabling persons with disabilities to become self-reliant. He emphasized the need to simplify and streamline the loan distribution process and ensure maximum benefit to beneficiaries. The review meeting discussed the progress of UID card creation, loan approvals, assistive device distribution, and self-employment schemes. Officials informed that eligible persons with disabilities are being identified and linked to the schemes through regular camps.
During his visit, Mr. Kavadia inspected special schools, institutions for the disabled, and hostels to assess the arrangements there. He interacted with the children and trainees, listened to their problems, and gave instructions for continuous improvement in the quality of education, skill development, and rehabilitation services. Kavadiya said that the schemes will be regularly monitored at the state level so that no eligible disabled person is deprived of the benefits and their active participation in building a strong, self-reliant Chhattisgarh can be ensured.
