Indian doctors are respected even outside the country due to their service and dedication - Deka
Raipur. Governor Ramen Deka today inaugurated the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur. In his address, he said that AIIMS has been a trusted institution in the field of medicine. When we talk about super-specialty medical institutions, AIIMS is at the top. It is a matter of pride that AIIMS has been established in all the states of India. The number of patients coming to AIIMS Raipur for treatment is continuously increasing. Therefore, this institute will need more space. He said that I would advise the state government to allocate land for the establishment of AIIMS in Naya Raipur, so that a large number of needy patients can get medical facilities.

The Governor stressed the need to establish a super-specialty cardiac facility in Chhattisgarh so that heart patients can receive better treatment within their own state and not have to travel outside. He stated that a super-specialty cardiac facility could be established in a medical college or AIIMS. Deka expressed his satisfaction that the increased medical facilities have significantly reduced the mortality rate in the state. However, much remains to be done to make India a developed nation by 2047. This requires achieving better results in every field, be it medicine, engineering, or space science. Encouraging the doctors, Mr. Deka said, "You all are engaged in a noble profession that is directly linked to the well-being of the people. Even today, a large segment of society considers doctors as gods. Even outside the country, Indian doctors are revered with respect. This is primarily due to our well-trained and dedicated doctors. Our Indian doctors always prioritize the best treatment for patients, which is a testament to their spirit of service." Sharing memories of his mother, he said, "When my mother was ill, I had the experience that half her problems would go away as soon as she saw a doctor. This reflects the unwavering faith the public has in doctors."
On this occasion, Deka extended his best wishes to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, saying, "I wish this institute continues to set new standards in medical care and remains dedicated to serving patients with utmost diligence." A large number of AIIMS medical officers were present on the occasion.
