If the complaint of wetting paddy with water at Bhalera paddy procurement centre is found to be true, strict action will be taken against the culprits.

Raipur. Taking seriously the complaint regarding soaking of paddy stacks in water at the paddy procurement centre of Bhalera Cooperative Society in Arang development block, Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh has taken immediate cognizance. A three-member inquiry committee was formed to investigate the matter, which was instructed to immediately reach the spot and investigate the entire matter.
Collector Dr. Singh has said that any kind of irregularity or negligence in the paddy procurement process will not be tolerated. He has directed the concerned officials that the investigation team should reach the spot and investigate the actual situation and if any employee or officer is found involved, strict administrative action should be taken against them immediately.

According to information received, a joint investigation team led by Assistant Commissioner Mr. Vinay Shukla, consisting of Mr. Sumit Dadsena (Cooperative Extension Officer) and Mr. Ashok Sahu (Cooperative Inspector), has arrived at the scene and is conducting a detailed investigation into the paddy stacks at the procurement center, the storage arrangements, and the role of the relevant staff. A factual report will also be prepared by gathering information from the villagers.

Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh clarified that transparency in paddy procurement and protecting farmers' interests are the government's top priorities. If any irregularities are found at any level, strict action will be taken against those responsible.
