Women's reservation will give half the population their full rights: Vishnudev Sai

Raipur . Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address at the 'Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan' broadcast from Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, at the Chief Minister's residence office on Monday. On this occasion, he said that this is a historic moment for the country's women power, which will prove to be decisive in making India's democratic structure more inclusive and strong.

Chief Minister Sai said that this effort to ensure women's participation from 'Panchayat to Parliament' presents a clear glimpse of the new India. He underlined the Prime Minister's vision that direct participation of women in the decision-making process is the strong foundation of a developed India.

He said that the discussion on 'Nari Shakti Vandan Act' in Parliament on April 16 is an important step towards giving concrete shape to this historic initiative. 
Chief Minister Sai said that women have always been given a high place in India's cultural tradition. From the Vedic period to the present day, the role of women has been extremely important in the formation and development of society. Various schemes of our double-engine government have strengthened this tradition in a modern context, enabling women to progress with self-reliance and dignity.
