Raipur: The Bastar region, emerging from the influence of Naxalism and moving towards new confidence and development, reached an important milestone today when Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai presented 228 development works worth over Rs 308 crore to Sukma district. He laid the foundation stone for 159 works and inaugurated 69, giving new impetus to the overall development of the region.

Addressing a large gathering at the Mini Stadium in Sukma, Chief Minister Sai stated that the overall development of areas that have been left behind due to Naxalism for the past 40 years is the state government's top priority. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, peace has been established in Bastar, and a wave of development is now flowing here.
