Raipur: Animal husbandry is emerging as a profitable business in the state due to the expansion of livestock development schemes, technical guidance and veterinary services of the Chhattisgarh government. With the use of modern technologies and departmental support, farmers are becoming self-reliant and the rural economy is getting a new strength. Rajnath Yadav of Surguja has become an example of self-reliance through modern animal husbandry. In this sequence, Mr. Rajnath Yadav, a resident of village Dorna under Lundra development block of Surguja district, has achieved remarkable success through modern dairy management and artificial insemination techniques. Today, he has emerged as a source of inspiration for the progressive animal husbandry farmers of the area and is earning a net income of Rs 10 to 12 lakh annually from the dairy business.
