00 Minister Dewangan and Mayor Sanjudevi inaugurated the Korba Rifle Shooting Range established by the corporation behind the stadium 
Raipur. State's Commerce Industry, Labour, Excise and Public Enterprises Minister Mr. Lakhanlal Dewangan said on Saturday that our Korba city is changing rapidly, is improving rapidly and the city is achieving new achievements daily. He said that the Korba Rifle Shooting Range established by the Municipal Corporation is another sign, another proof of the changing Korba - improving Korba. He said that I congratulate and thank Mayor Mrs. Sanjudevi Rajput, Commissioner Ashutosh Pandey and Chairperson Nutan Singh Thakur for giving this big gift of Rifle Shooting Range to the players of Korba, the youth here who are making their career in the field of rifle shooting, children and shooting lovers. 


Korba Rifle Shooting Range has been established by Municipal Corporation Korba behind Priyadarshini Indira Stadium located in TP Nagar. It is noteworthy that Corporation Chairman Nutan Singh Thakur, who is also the Secretary of Korba Rifle Shooting Academy, proposed to Commissioner Ashutosh Pandey that a rifle shooting range should be established in Korba. Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput and Commissioner Ashutosh Pandey readily agreed to this proposal and a rifle shooting range was established in Korba. Korba Rifle Shooting Range was formally inaugurated in a dignified program organized on Saturday under the chief hospitality of State Industry Minister Lakhanlal Devangan and the chairmanship of Mayor Smt. Sanjudevi Rajput. Industry Minister Shri Devangan unveiled the inauguration plaque and cut the ribbon and worshipped the rifles and formally inaugurated the shooting range by shooting with a rifle.

In his address on this occasion, Industry Minister Mr. Dewangan further stated that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and State Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai are taking a special interest in the development of sports and the expansion of sports facilities, and that our country is constantly achieving new achievements in the field of sports. He added that Chief Minister Mr. Vishnudev Sai, in a meeting of the Central Region Development Authority, approved ₹10 crore each for the establishment of the Tribal Boys and Girls Sports Council. He further stated that as far as the Korba Municipal Corporation is concerned, the corporation has successfully fulfilled its basic responsibilities and ensured the overall development of the municipal area, as well as undertaken extensive work to enhance sports facilities in Korba, a fact well known to all. He added that when he was Mayor, a statue of the legendary hockey player, Major Dhyanchand, was installed, and the square was renamed Major Dhyanchand Chowk. A swimming pool was constructed near the stadium, and the open theatre, Ghantaghar Ground, was preserved, where new sports activities are being conducted daily. He said that the establishment of the Korba Rifle Shooting Range has provided a significant advantage to rifle shooting athletes. They will be able to practice here and showcase their talent on national and international platforms, bringing glory to Korba district and Chhattisgarh. He said that the Korba Rifle Shooting Academy will certainly receive all the necessary support for the development of the shooting range and the availability of modern facilities.  On this occasion, Mayor Sanjudevi Rajput, in her address, said that the establishment of a rifle shooting range in Korba, inaugurated today by Industry Minister Dewangan, is a
moment 
of joy and pride for all of us. We are particularly pleased that our Commissioner Ashutosh Pandey has a special interest in sports and works with full determination on any suggestions presented to him for the development of sports. Mayor Mrs. Rajput said that the corporation has done remarkable work to increase sports facilities in Korba. Any proposal brought forward for the development of the Korba Rifle Shooting Range and to provide better and state-of-the-art facilities there will definitely be implemented. Chairman and Secretary of the Korba Rifle Shooting Academy, Mr. Nutan Singh Thakur, and Commissioner Mr. Ashutosh Pandey also expressed their views on this occasion.

A big gift for the players and shooting lovers of Korba city. 
On this occasion, the President of the District Olympic Association, Mr. Naushad Khan, in his address said that the Municipal Corporation of Korba has always played an important role in the development of sports and providing sports facilities in Korba. In this series, today the city has also received the gift of Korba Rifle Shooting Range, for which I congratulate the Industry Minister Mr. Dewangan, Mayor Mrs. Rajput and Commissioner Mr. Pandey. He said that the rifle shooting players will practice here.
The place neglected for years has been equipped with a well-organized shooting range today. 
The place behind the Indira Priyadarshini Indira Stadium in T.P. Nagar, where the shooting range was established, was lying neglected for years, there was a heap of garbage there, there was also a possibility of anti-social activities there, that neglected place has been equipped as a well-organized rifle shooting range today due to the efforts of Corporation Commissioner Mr. Ashutosh Pandey, the hall filled with junk behind the stadium has been converted into Korba Rifle Shooting Academy and Indoor Shooting Range. 
Excellent players were honored 
On this occasion, Industry Minister Mr. Devangan, Mayor Mrs. Rajput and other guests honored the players who performed excellently in various sports. Players like Shruti Yadav, Yamini Borde, Piyush Singh, Ajit Anand, Akash Saraf and coach Neeraj Nikhil in rifle shooting, Ayushman Tanojia, Krishna Kushwaha in basketball, Yamini Prajapati, Abhishek Saw in football, Nanda Singh, Harshu Srivastava in volleyball, Piyush Chandra, Sarah Gabriel in swimming, Arpit Dubey, Gulshan Borkar, Gauri Karsh, HD Rai, Ishaak Kujur, Vibha Mishra in junior boxing, Rajeshwari Lahare, Anay Agarwal, Pooja Mishra, Harsh Yadav, Ronish Kujur etc. in senior boxing were honoured. 
On this occasion, Councilor Narendra Devangan, Councilor Mathura Bai Chandra, Mukund Singh Kanwar, Additional Commissioner Vinay Mishra, Press Club President Rajendra Jaiswal, District Olympic Association President Naushad Khan, Korba Rifle Shooting Academy President Mahesh Agarwal, Treasurer Ranjan Prasad, Zone Commissioner Akhilesh Shukla, Narendra Mehta, Dr. Vikas Chandra, Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Lakshmi Chauhan, Uttam Adile, Santosh Kewat, Tarkeshwar Mishra, Ravi Sahi, Surendra Rajwade, Mantu Singh, Prafull Tiwari, Narendra Patanwar, Advocate Ravi Sharma, Maheshwar Singh, Sumit Singh, etc. along with officials of various sports associations, players and other citizens were present.
