Mati Bai left her job as a 'lakhpati didi', raising poultry to improve her family's future
Raipur: The Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission and the "Lakhpati Didi" campaign are bringing about profound changes in the lives of rural women across the state. Women are becoming economically empowered by adopting self-employment through self-help groups.
In this same vein, Mrs. Mati Bai of Sontarai village, within the Udaipur development block of Surguja district, has set an inspiring example of self-reliance through her hard work and the support of government schemes. Once dependent on manual labor, Mati Bai has now earned recognition as "Lakhpati Didi" through her poultry farming business.
