Labor Minister wishes International Labor Day to the workers
Raipur, On the occasion of International Workers' Day (May Day), State Labor Minister Shri Lakhanlal Dewangan extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the state's workers. Wishing all hardworking workers a happy and bright future, he said that May 1st is a special occasion to express gratitude for workers' hard work, dedication, and contribution.
Minister Shri Dewangan said that workers are the foundation of society and without them, the idea of development is incomplete. Reiterating the state government's commitment to the social and economic well-being of workers, he said that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously striving for the overall development of all needy sections including workers. He said that the state government is rapidly providing the benefits of various schemes to workers and their families. The schemes are being effectively implemented through the three boards operating under the Labor Department - Building and Other Construction Workers Board, Organized Workers Board and State Social Security and Labor Welfare Board.
Minister Shri Dewangan said that in the past two and a quarter years, approximately ₹800 crore has been transferred directly to workers' bank accounts through DBT under various schemes. This has improved the social and economic status of not only workers but also their families.
