CM SAI ORDER : Safety alert issued on water sports across Chhattisgarh
Raipur. The tragic Jabalpur cruise ship accident shook the entire nation, and now the Chhattisgarh government is on full alert. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has taken a major and strict decision regarding water sports and boating activities.
The Chief Minister has clearly stated that any compromise with safety will be completely unacceptable. Orders have been issued to conduct immediate safety audits in all districts, ensure strict adherence to established SOPs, and ensure that everything from life jackets to rescue equipment is in working order.
The CM also made it clear that wherever negligence is found, direct action will be taken against the officers and employees responsible. Collectors have been instructed to ensure constant monitoring and reporting. After the nine deaths in the Jabalpur accident, the Chhattisgarh government appears to be in no mood to take any risks.
