Raipur. Under the Good Governance Festival, a very cordial and sensitive scene was seen today in village Lokhan of Kabirdham district, when Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai reached directly among the labourers during a surprise inspection of the under-construction Panchayat Bhawan. During the inspection, his visit was not limited to reviewing the works, but became a living example of his easy connection with the common people and sensitive leadership. The sudden arrival of the Chief Minister created an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the labourers working there and everyone gave him a warm welcome.

During Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai's inspection, the women workers there warmly and earnestly invited him for lunch. The Chief Minister readily accepted this simple invitation and, with a smile, asked them what they had brought. The women explained that they had brought traditional food from home—bore basi, paan purva roti, chana bhaji, charota bhaji, munga badi, and aama (mango) chutney. Hearing this, the Chief Minister readily decided to share a meal with them. Chief Minister Sai sat on the floor among the workers and ate from their tiffins. Savoring the bore basi and aama chutney, he remarked that this food was deeply rooted in their lifestyle and culture.
During the meal, while interacting with the workers, Chief Minister Sai also attempted to understand the ground reality of the implementation of government schemes. He inquired from the women workers about the benefits of the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and other public welfare schemes. The women also shared their experiences openly, providing the Chief Minister with direct feedback on the actual status of the schemes. When the Chief Minister inquired about the village's major problems, the women explained that, due to its hilly terrain, drinking water is a constant problem. Borewells and hand pumps are ineffective for long periods, exacerbating the water shortage during the summer. The Chief Minister took this issue seriously and directed immediate action to resolve it.

The Chief Minister inquired on the spot from the Collector regarding the drinking water system. The Collector informed that a special drinking water scheme has been developed for 26 villages in the area, which plans to provide water through pipelines from remote water sources. This scheme is technically ready and can be implemented soon. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai gave clear instructions that this scheme should be approved as soon as possible and work should begin on the ground so that villagers can get relief from the drinking water problem. He said that the true meaning of good governance is that government schemes reach the public timely and effectively. The Chief Minister clarified that our good governance government is working with full commitment to solve public problems
