Raipur. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has once again taken major action in the much-talked-about liquor scam case in Chhattisgarh. On April 30, 2026, the ED's Raipur Zonal Office team conducted simultaneous raids in the state's Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, and Bilaspur districts under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. During this search operation, a total of 13 locations were searched.

The locations raided by the ED team were linked to liquor dealers, chartered accountants, businessmen and corporate entities suspected of receiving, handling, concealing or laundering illegal proceeds of crime from the liquor scam.

Assets worth Rs 5.39 crore seized

During the raid, the ED seized ₹53 lakh in cash and approximately 3.234 kilograms of gold and bullion, estimated to be worth approximately ₹4.86 crore. The total amount of cash and valuables seized is approximately ₹5.39 crore. In addition, several important documents, digital devices, and data were also recovered, which are currently being investigated.
