National Lok Adalat to be held on May 9
Raipur, May 6, 2026: The Supreme Court of India is organizing the Special Lok Adalat 2026, a resolution ceremony to reach out to the general public and promote the resolution of disputes through mutual participation and consensus. The National Lok Adalat will commence on May 9, 2026, and pending cases will be resolved through the Special Lok Adalat on August 21, 22, and 23.
A special Lok Adalat will be held on August 21, 22, and 23 in the Supreme Court premises. This will also include cases pending in the Supreme Court. During this period, pre-conciliation meetings will be held at the mediation centers of the State, District, Taluka, and High Court Legal Services Committees. The negotiation process has already begun on April 21, 2026. The primary objective of this settlement camp is to resolve appropriate cases pending in the Supreme Court through mutual consent and reconciliation. Advocates, litigants, and all concerned parties have been appealed to actively participate and work towards a mutually agreed solution.
Parties can participate in the reconciliation meeting through physical and virtual means as well. Trained Mediation and Legal Services Authority officials will provide assistance in these meetings. To include your case in the resolution ceremony special Lok Adalat, you will have to fill the Google form on the Supreme Court website. The last date for filling the form has been fixed as 31 May 2026.
