The survey team recovered invaluable treasures from two key locations
in Ward No. 4 of Pendra. Several religious texts, including a 500-year-old handwritten version of the Bhagavad Gita, were found at the residence of Pandit Mohan Dutt Sharma. These manuscripts were a highlight, and Collector Dr. Santosh Kumar Dewangan bowed to them with reverence. During the survey, a nearly 200-year-old handwritten zamindari genealogy and historical maps related to the revenue and forest departments of the Pendragarh region were also recovered from the residence of District Panchayat Vice President Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh. These documents were also preserved through digital technology. The Collector discussed in detail with Raja Upendra Bahadur Singh and his wife, Mrs. Shikha Singh, regarding family history, zamindari traditions, and historical treasures.
