Chief Minister Shri Sai attended the state level conference and felicitation ceremony of All India Kshatriya Kurmi Samaj.

Raipur, May 10, 2026/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today attended the state-level conference and felicitation ceremony of All India Kshatriya Kurmi Samaj held at Dongaria in Kabirdham district. On this occasion, he underlined the contribution of Kurmi Samaj in the unity, organization, social consciousness of the society and the development of the country and the state and said that only an organized and strong society is the foundation of a strong nation. During the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai also gifted the people of the area important development works related to irrigation, roads and religious tourism. Earlier, he reached Jaleshwar Mahadev Dham and performed Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of the state.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Kurmi community has a glorious history. Great figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel have played a historic role in the country's unity, security, and nation-building. He said that the Kurmi community is a hardworking, progressive, and conscious community that has carved out a unique identity for itself in every field, from agriculture to education, administration, and social leadership.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country is undergoing a new era of cultural and spiritual renaissance. The construction of the Lord Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya has become a symbol of faith for millions of countrymen. He said that the state government is providing devotees with a visit to Ayodhya through the Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, and approximately 42,000 devotees have benefited from it so far. The Chief Minister's Tirtha Darshan Yojana has also been relaunched, under which senior citizens are being taken on pilgrimages to 19 major pilgrimage sites in the country.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government has worked to implement "Modi's guarantee" in the last two and a half years. So far, 27 installments have been paid under the Mahatari Vandan Yojana, transferring 27,000 rupees each to the accounts of millions of women in the state. He said that irrigation projects worth 10,500 crore rupees have been approved in the state, which will strengthen the agricultural sector. Work is also being carried out rapidly on the expansion and modernization of railway infrastructure.

Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that in line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's resolution of a developed India by 2047, a vision document is being prepared to develop Chhattisgarh as a developed state and work is being done in a planned manner. The government is also working towards developing the state's five major Shakti Peethas and connecting them through religious and cultural corridors. He stated that only an educated and organized society can establish new dimensions of continuous development.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma stated that the true strength of a society lies in its unity and organization. He said that a society inspired by great leaders like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel naturally becomes glorious and progressive. He called upon the society to further strengthen education, organization, and social harmony.

Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Laxmi Verma said that the Kurmi community's greatest strength lies in its unity, organization, and mutual trust. She said that where trust, culture, and character are ingrained, the community continues to progress and guides new generations.

Takhatpur MLA Shri Dharamjeet Singh said that the Kurmi community is a prominent, aware and progressive community of Chhattisgarh, with a strong presence visible in nearly every village of the state. Pandaria MLA Smt. Bhavana Bohra said that the Kurmi community is known for its hard work, diligence and progressive thinking, and its members are achieving excellent work in every field.

National President of the All India Kshatriya Kurmi Samaj, Mr. Sarvesh Katiyar, stated that the Kurmi community's organizational tradition dates back more than 132 years. Through its hard work, social values, and unity, the community has established a unique identity across the country. He added that wherever the Kurmi community has actively participated, development and social progress have found new direction. Distinguished public representatives, officials, and community members were present on the occasion.
