The sub-health center at Pakhanjur Subhash Nagar has been closed for the past seven months.

Kanker. The Sub-Health Center in Subhash Nagar, Pakhanjoor, has been locked for the past seven months. The Chief Health Officer (CHO) posted at the center went on a month's leave but hasn't returned in several months. This has left approximately two thousand villagers in the surrounding area facing difficulties in accessing medical care. The closure of the Sub-Health Center has severely impacted health services in the area. Patients are forced to travel to distant hospitals for both minor and major ailments. The elderly, pregnant women, and children, who require regular checkups and treatment, are facing the most difficulties.

The Health Department had assigned the responsibility of managing the center to the Rhoma of Ghodagaon as a temporary arrangement. However, the Rhoma is constantly on field duty in eight villages due to the Swasthya Bastar Abhiyan and vaccination work. Consequently, the Sub-Health Center in Subhash Nagar has been unable to operate regularly. The Chief Health Officer (CHO) has been absent for seven months, but the responsible officials have yet to inspect the center or appoint a replacement. The villagers have termed this as serious negligence of the health system and have demanded immediate appointment of a permanent health worker.
