Raipur,  A great and golden opportunity has come up for the children of insured workers working in the organized sector of Chhattisgarh to make a career in the field of medical education (MBBS/BDS). The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Government of India, has reserved 700 seats for the children of insured workers in its 20 prestigious medical colleges across the country. The last date for online application was May 31, which has been extended to June 21, 2026.

Admission will be given through NEET UG

According to official information from the Labor Commissioner's office, eligible candidates will be selected for these reserved seats through the NEET (UG) exam. The deadline for online applications is June 21, 2026. Students who fall within the eligibility criteria can submit their applications without delay by visiting the Employees' State Insurance Corporation's official website (ESIC).

The main objective of the scheme

Labor Department officials stated that the primary objective of this special reservation policy is to provide talented children from organized sector labor families with better opportunities for higher and quality medical education. This will also enable students from economically disadvantaged or modest backgrounds to fulfill their dreams of becoming doctors without financial constraints.
