Raipur--Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today interacted with the beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes of the Women and Child Development Department in village Badekanera of Kondagaon district and inquired about the positive changes in their lives. While providing benefits to women, children, adolescent girls and self-help groups under various schemes, the Chief Minister said that the state government is giving top priority to the empowerment of women and children, safe motherhood, nutrition and self-reliance. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the real objective of the government's schemes is not just to provide financial assistance, but to bring about lasting positive changes in the lives of the people. He said that the objective of good governance is meaningful only when the benefits of a scheme directly bring about a change in the life of an individual.

Prime Minister Matru Vandana Yojana beneficiaries Mrs. Manita Markam and Mrs. Khemlata Korram were benefited at the program. The Chief Minister stated that providing timely nutrition, health services, and medical assistance to pregnant women is the government's priority. He said that this scheme is becoming a strong foundation for better health and safe motherhood for mothers and newborns.
'Mahtari Vandan Yojana has become the economic strength of women'
Mrs. Santoshi Bhoyar, who runs a parlor at home, and Mrs. Sampatti Manikpuri, who is involved in vegetable business, who are beneficiaries of Mahatari Vandan Yojana, told the Chief Minister that the amount received from the scheme is proving helpful in meeting household needs and supporting small businesses. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Mahatari Vandan Yojana is an important step towards making women economically empowered. This has increased the self-confidence of women and they are playing an active role in the economic management of the family. He said that the economic strength of women empowers both the family and the society.
'Annaprashan Sanskar wishes for a healthy future for children'
The program also celebrated the Annaprashan ceremony for the children of Anju Korram and Padmini Netam. On this occasion, mothers were also given information on proper nutrition, vaccinations, and health care for their infants. The Chief Minister emphasized that paying special attention to nutrition during the early years of a child's life is crucial for their physical and mental development.
Manita Markam and Gudiya Markam were honored under the "Hod Bharai Program to Honor Motherhood
." Pregnant women were provided information regarding health checkups, balanced diet, safe delivery, and regular health checkups. The Chief Minister said that a healthy mother is the foundation of a healthy society and that the care of pregnant women is the primary responsibility of the government. Nutrition kits were presented to Kavyansh and Roshni under the
"Strengthening the Campaign Against Malnutrition by Distribution of Nutrition Kits"
program. The Chief Minister stated that building a malnutrition-free Chhattisgarh is one of the state government's key priorities. He added that essential nutrition is being provided to children and mothers through nutrition kits, which is yielding positive results towards building a healthy society.
Manai Yadav was benefited under the Saksham Yojana in the program 'New direction to self-reliance through Saksham Yojana and Mahila Kosh'
. The Chief Minister said that this scheme is becoming a medium to make women self-reliant by providing them opportunities for skill development, employment and self-employment. In this sequence, financial assistance was provided to Ekta Self-Help Group of Badekanera under Chhattisgarh Mahila Kosh. The Chief Minister said that Self-Help Groups are a strong unit of the rural economy and through them entrepreneurship, savings and economic independence are being promoted among women.
In the program 'Teenagers received hygiene kits, emphasis on health and cleanliness',
hygiene kits were provided to Priya Netam, Mahima, Nandani Patel, Pushpa Nayak and Heena. The Chief Minister said that it is necessary to increase awareness about health, nutrition and cleanliness among adolescent girls, because only healthy adolescent girls become the foundation for building a healthy family and society. In the program, Kansoram Netam and Gandhiram Netam were honored for their active participation in child care and Anganwadi activities. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that equal participation of both mother and father is necessary for the all-round development of children. He said that shared responsibility of the family lays a strong foundation for a better future of the children.
