Review of four districts in Kanker under Good Governance Festival 2026: Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized on effective implementation of public welfare schemes and public service

Raipur/Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai stated that the purpose of the Samadhan Camps is to ensure sensitive and timely resolution of public problems. He issued clear instructions to officials, urging them to work with a positive mindset and meaningful efforts to ensure effective access to benefits from schemes and ensure the spirit of good governance is reflected on the ground.

In a review meeting held in the Kanker District Panchayat meeting hall on Tuesday evening as part of the state-wide Good Governance Festival 2026, Chief Minister Shri Sai conducted a district-wise review of the schemes and development works being carried out in Kanker, Kondagaon, Narayanpur and Bastar districts. Reviewing the implementation status of various departments, the Chief Minister directed officials to adopt a timely, accountable and result-oriented work style.

Special emphasis on Prime Minister's housing, paddy procurement and agricultural preparations

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai directed that construction of houses approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana be completed expeditiously so that beneficiaries can benefit from permanent housing. He stressed the need to expedite the lifting of paddy from procurement centers and encourage young entrepreneurs to promote local paddy milling.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that adequate availability of fertilizers and seeds should be ensured in view of the Kharif season. He directed to encourage farmers to use nano urea and alternative fertilizers. He also directed to ensure 100% registration of eligible farmers under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and AgriStack portals.

Priority given to health, nutrition and women empowerment

Chief Minister Shri Sai directed the Health Department to remain fully prepared and vigilant to deal with seasonal diseases. He placed special emphasis on the effective implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, 100% institutional delivery, sickle cell screening, and the Chief Minister's Healthy Bastar Scheme.

He directed to give the work of preparing ready-to-eat food to women self-help groups, increase the number of malnutrition-free Anganwadi centres and provide the benefits of Mahatari Vandan Yojana to all eligible women.

The Chief Minister directed constant monitoring of drinking water supplies in view of the summer season. He called for a continuous public awareness campaign regarding the mandatory use of helmets and seat belts to reduce road accidents. He also stressed the widespread publicity of Dial 112.

In the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai conducted department-wise review on various subjects related to Chief Minister Swamitva Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, PM Janman, Bihan Yojana, Tendu leaf purchase, PM Suryaghar free electricity scheme, Jal Jeevan Mission, Atal Digital Seva Kendra, e-office implementation, DMF works, education quality, road infrastructure and law and order and took information about the progress in the districts.

Considering the potential of fisheries in Pakhanjoor area, Chief Minister Shri Sai stressed on making water conservation more effective and giving priority to works related to education, health, livelihood and malnutrition eradication from DMF funds in remote areas like Antagarh and Koylibeda.

MLA Antagarh Shri Vikram Usendi, Kanker MLA Shri Asharam Netam, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rajat Bansal, Bastar Division Commissioner Shri Doman Singh along with the Collectors, Superintendents of Police, DFOs and senior officers of various departments of the concerned districts were present in the meeting.
