Third day of Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw's inspection of works in Bastar
Raipur, 2026. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, who is on a tour of Bastar division to inspect and review progress, visited the college building, Jal Jeevan Mission, and the Swachhata Didi's work in Dantewada district for the third day today. He inspected the construction of the new building of Jawanga Government College near Geedam. This fully equipped college building is being constructed at a cost of ₹4.66 crore.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Saw directed the Public Works Department officials and the contractor to expedite the work and complete the building as soon as possible. He said that the college should be started in this building as soon as possible. This will provide the children of Dantewada with a high-quality college with all the facilities.
Mr. Saw inspected the Jal Jeevan Mission work in Teknar village. He visited two homes to see the tap water supply. He also participated in the Jal Arpan program there. He encouraged villagers to operate and maintain the tap water scheme through the Gram Panchayat and public participation.
Mr. Saw observed the operation of the water treatment plant at Dantewada Municipality. He visited the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and observed the work of the Swachhata Didis and inquired about their work. He also inquired about door-to-door garbage collection and its segregation. Mr. Saw met the Swachhata Didis and inquired about the facilities being provided to them. MLA Mr. Chaitram Atami, Collector Mr. Devesh Dhruv and Dantewada Municipality Chairperson Mrs. Payal Gupta were also present during the event.
