Raipur receives relief from pre-monsoon rains, with signs of monsoon arriving in the next three days
Raipur : Pre-monsoon rains in the state capital Raipur late Monday night brought relief from the scorching heat and humidity. According to the Meteorological Department, the southwest monsoon is expected to reach parts of Chhattisgarh in the next three days, and favorable conditions are developing for this.
The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in many areas of the state. Weather activity may increase further from June 11. In the past 24 hours, Tokapal in Bastar district recorded 1 centimeter of rainfall.
The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 43.5 degrees Celsius in Rajnandgaon, while the lowest temperature was recorded at 24.5 degrees Celsius in Ambikapur.
According to meteorologists, changes in weather are being seen due to the effect of upper air cyclonic circulation and trough formed in eastern Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas.
Raipur remained cloudy since Tuesday morning. The city's maximum temperature is expected to be 41 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has advised people to remain vigilant in view of the changing weather.
