Launch of the second batch of Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship
36 young fellows will become the new leaders of good governance, playing a key role in policy development and administrative reforms.
IIM Raipur organizes orientation program; Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship will prepare people-centric leaders
Raipur, As per the vision of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the orientation and inauguration program of MBA (Public Policy and Governance) 2026-28 batch was organized at IIM Raipur under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship, jointly operated by the Good Governance and Convergence Department of Chhattisgarh Government and Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur. Through this initiative, the youth of the state are being prepared for leadership roles in the fields of administrative efficiency, policy-making and public service.
36 talented youth will give new energy to good governance
Under the Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship Scheme, 36 talented youth selected from 19 districts of the state will be awarded a two-year MBA (Public Policy and Governance) degree. The selected fellows include 12 candidates from the Scheduled Tribe category and 4 from the Scheduled Caste category. This program will provide the state's youth with a grounded understanding of governance and develop them as transformative leaders.
Administrative experience will be gained along with academic studies.
During the fellowship, participants will receive high-level academic training at IIM Raipur for 5 months, while working in various departments and districts of the state government for 19 months to gain experience in policy making, program implementation, administrative innovation and practical aspects of good governance.

In his address, the chief guest and Secretary of the Chief Minister's Secretariat and the Department of Good Governance and Convergence, Mr. Rahul Bhagat, said that good governance is not limited to policy formulation; equally important are their effective implementation, timely delivery of services to citizens, and results-oriented administration. He urged students to embrace the values of public service, ethical leadership, innovation, and accountability.
Shared experiences on digital governance and data-driven decisions
On this occasion, Special Secretary Mr. Rajat Bansal and Joint Secretary Mr. Mayank Agarwal shared their experiences related to digital governance, administrative reforms, policy-making and data-based decision-making with the students and motivated them to actively participate in the development of the state.
Selection is based on CAT score and transparent selection process.
The Chief Minister's Good Governance Fellowship is awarded only to young people native to Chhattisgarh based on a valid CAT score and a standardized and transparent selection process established by IIM Raipur. The 36 fellows selected through this competitive process will represent 19 districts across the state and pioneer a new chapter in good governance.
Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship is emerging as an important and visionary initiative towards preparing people-centric and innovation-based administrative leadership in Chhattisgarh.
