The meeting discussed in detail the progress of the AI ​​mission, internet connectivity, mobile networks, the Seva Setu portal, data labs, centers of excellence, and several digital projects. The Chief Minister stated that the government's priority is to create a system in which technology becomes a means of increasing people's incomes, simplifying government services, and creating new employment opportunities for youth.

According to the government's plan, AI-related training programs will be launched in schools, colleges, ITIs, and universities in the near future. Robotics clubs, hackathons, certification courses, and modern AI labs will be established for students. Government employees will also be trained in the use of new technologies to make administrative work faster and more effective.

To promote AI-based startups in the state, preparations are underway to provide data labs, research projects, seed funding, and cloud facilities. The government wants to collaborate with industries and educational institutions to develop an ecosystem that will provide new opportunities for local youth.

The meeting also decided that Chhattisgarh will develop its own AI policy. It will include provisions regarding data security and privacy, compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and technical audits. A separate AI action plan will be developed for each department, and nodal officers will be appointed to oversee AI projects.

Special emphasis was also placed on strengthening digital connectivity. Officials stated that nearly 1,000 mobile towers have been installed in the last two and a half years, while 577 new towers have been approved. The government's goal is to provide better mobile network and internet service, even in remote and forested areas.

Work is progressing rapidly on the BharatNet Phase 3 project to connect 4,114 gram panchayats with a modern fiber network. Upon completion, high-speed internet and FTTH services will expand to rural areas.

Currently, 520 government services from 36 departments are available online through the Seva Setu portal. Nearly 4 million applications have been received since April 1, 2025, and most have been successfully resolved. Features such as Aadhaar verification, DigiLocker, e-challan, DBT, and QR-based certificate verification have also been added to the portal.

The meeting also reviewed projects such as the Center of Entrepreneurship, AI Center of Excellence, Security Operations Center, Data Labs, and GIS-based Monitoring System in Nava Raipur. The government believes these initiatives will increase investment in the IT and ITES sector and create new employment and self-employment opportunities for thousands of youth.

Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary Rahul Bhagat, IT Department Secretary Ankit Anand and many senior officers were present in the review meeting.
