Raipur, July 10, 2026/ An important meeting will be held on July 12, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Babylon Capital, GE Road, Raipur under the chairmanship of Housing and Environment Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary to review the tree plantation activities conducted and proposed by major industrial units during monsoon-2026 in the state and to finalize the future action plan.
The meeting will be attended by representatives at the president, vice president, and director levels from the state's major medium- and large-scale industrial units. The meeting will comprehensively review the progress of tree-planting programs being undertaken during the 2026 monsoon season, their effective implementation, the protection and maintenance of the plants, monitoring systems, and industry-specific action plans.
It is noteworthy that earlier on July 8, 2026, in a review meeting chaired by Mr. Raju Agasimani, Member Secretary of the Chhattisgarh Environment Protection Board, industrial units were given necessary guidelines regarding extensive tree plantation, plant conservation, and effective discharge of environmental responsibilities. In the same vein, Departmental Minister Mr. O.P. Chaudhary will now personally meet with senior representatives of the industry to review the progress of the tree plantation campaign and provide necessary guidance on the upcoming action plan.
The objective of the meeting is to expand the green cover in the state with the active participation of industries, make environmental protection more effective and achieve the set targets of tree plantation programmes in a timely manner.
