On this occasion, while congratulating the newly appointed officials and members, he said that the state government is working with full commitment for the all-round development of the tribal community and that tribal development has gained unprecedented momentum in Chhattisgarh. He expressed confidence that the newly formed State Board of the Sangh will play an important role in the upliftment of the tribal community, protection of their rights, and social development. Present at the event were Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh President Shri Prakash Kumar Uikey, Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, Shri Rajesh Malviya, Shri Kunwar Jitendra Narsingh Rana, along with Sangh members and officials from various states.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a tribal-dominated state, where many tribal communities, including Special Backward Tribes, reside with their rich traditions, culture, and life values. In such a state, the formation of the Chhattisgarh State Board of the Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh is extremely important. He said that the Sangh has a proud history and has long been dedicatedly working for the welfare and upliftment of tribal communities across the country.

The Chief Minister said that the historical role of the Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh can be gauged from the fact that the country's first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, served as its first President, while former Prime Minister Shri Morarji Desai also led this prestigious organization. Extending his best wishes to all the newly appointed State Board members, he extended a warm welcome to the Sangh officials from various states on the sacred soil of Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is prioritizing the overall development of tribal areas. Today, the Bastar region has entered a new era of development. Roads, education, health, drinking water, electricity, communication, and other basic amenities have expanded rapidly. Bastar is also establishing its unique identity at the national and international levels in the field of tourism. Tourists are arriving in large numbers to experience the rich tribal culture, natural beauty, and traditions, and by staying at local homestays, they are also strengthening the rural economy.

The Chief Minister said that for the past four decades, many areas of Bastar remained deprived of mainstream development, and nearly 400 villages had not even been properly surveyed. The current government has surveyed these villages and accelerated development efforts. He added that under the Niyyad Nellanar Scheme, roads, drinking water, and other basic amenities have been provided to more than 500 villages. Ration cards are being issued in these areas, new fair price shops have begun operating, and the benefits of various government welfare schemes are also being rapidly distributed to the people.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that to expand health services in tribal areas, door-to-door health checkups are being conducted under the Chief Minister's Healthy Bastar Scheme, so that people living in remote areas can access timely treatment and better health facilities. Additionally, the Bastar Munne program, meaning "Leading Bastar," has been launched. Through this initiative, the benefits of the government's public welfare schemes are being effectively extended to remote forest areas.

The Chief Minister said that preserving the rich cultural heritage, traditions and values of tribal society while connecting them with education, health, employment, livelihood and economic opportunities is among the top priorities of the state government. He expressed confidence that the Chhattisgarh State Board of the Bharatiya Adim Jati Sevak Sangh will provide new energy and direction to tribal development efforts by connecting various sections of society.
