Financial relief received due to the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai

Raipur, August 2026 / In line with the sensitive initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the commitment of the State Government towards the rehabilitation of Naxal affected families, as per the instructions of Forest and Bijapur District In-charge Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, financial assistance of Rs 32 lakh has been approved to 13 victims of Naxal violence in Bijapur district under the rehabilitation policy.

This assistance is approved for citizens who have been seriously injured or permanently disabled by Naxalite violence. The state government aims to provide financial support to such victims, providing them with opportunities for a dignified life and rehabilitation.

These victims will get benefits

The approved assistance amount includes Nandu Oyam and Jila Kunjam who were seriously injured in cross firing during an encounter between police and Naxalites, Esta Borra who was attacked by Maoists, Mitram Raote who was injured in a landmine blast, Korse Santosh, Chidem Kanhaiya and Kavita Kudiyam who were injured in an IED blast, Ichhami Suduru who was permanently disabled due to Maoist attack, and Rammurthy Karam, Bablu alias Mohan Kadti, Ganga Kalmu, Rajesh Kumar Yadav and Sodhi Mukesh who were seriously injured or permanently disabled in an IED blast.

Payment will be made through DBT soon.

Collector Shri Vishwadeep has directed the concerned officials to immediately pay the approved assistance amount into the bank accounts of the concerned beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), so that the victims can get financial assistance on time.

The state government's rehabilitation policy is providing a strong foundation for relief, security, and self-reliance for citizens affected by Naxalite violence. This initiative is a significant example of the government's sensitivity and dedication to the families of victims.
