Youth urged to adopt a drug-free, cultured and dedicated life for nation building

Raipur, August 2026. Participating in the "Drug-Free Youth, Developed India Sankalp Abhiyan" program organized by Brahma Kumaris, Ambikapur, Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal called on youth to adopt a drug-free, disciplined, and cultured life. He said that the strongest foundation for building a developed India is healthy, aware, characterful, and self-confident youth. Only when youth move forward with positive thinking, moral values, and a spirit of national service will the pledge of a developed India be realized.

Addressing the program, Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal said that the "Drug-Free Youth, Developed India Sankalp Abhiyan," launched under the leadership of the illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is not just a campaign to raise public awareness against drug abuse, but a national movement to empower the country's future. This campaign is becoming a means of inspiring youth towards a healthy lifestyle, self-discipline, positive thinking, and social responsibility, ensuring their active participation in nation-building.

He said that today the need is not just for economic development, but for the creation of a society where youth are physically, mentally, and spiritually empowered. Addiction affects an individual's talent, a family's well-being, and society's progress. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every youth to stay away from addiction and inspire their family, friends, and society to live a drug-free life.

Mr. Rajesh Agarwal said that India's youth power is the greatest strength in the world. If this power moves in the right direction, no one can stop India from becoming a developed nation. Urging the youth to make education, skills, discipline, service, and values ​​the foundation of their lives, he said that nation-building is not just the work of governments, but is possible only with the participation of every citizen, and especially the youth.

He praised the Brahma Kumaris organization, saying that it has long been doing remarkable work to promote spiritual awareness, moral values, a positive lifestyle, and a drug-free society. Such campaigns instill new awareness in society and provide youth with a positive outlook on life.

Mr. Agrawal further stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is continuously working to promote the all-round development of youth, including skill development, employment, education, sports, culture, and a healthy lifestyle.
