Jashpurnagar - Collector Rohit Vyas today inspected the 50-bed critical care health block under construction near the district hospital. Being constructed at a cost of over 11 crore rupees, this critical care health block will have a total of four floors, including the ground floor. Necessary facilities will be provided here for the treatment of patients with serious and life-threatening conditions. During the inspection, Collector Vyas took stock of the progress of the construction work. Currently, finishing work is underway on the building. He instructed the concerned officials to complete the remaining work within the stipulated time frame, while paying special attention to all the prescribed standards and quality in the construction of the building.

The Collector directed that color-coded signage be installed systematically throughout the hospital, so that patients and their families can easily identify important and sensitive areas, including the ICU, OT, and emergency, using distinct colors and symbols. This will facilitate smooth movement within the hospital and facilitate patients and their families' access to necessary areas. He also directed that a rainwater harvesting system be installed in the hospital building and that tree plantations be systematically planted throughout the campus. He also directed that the elevator installation be completed expeditiously to ensure easy access for patients and their families to various floors. Collector Vyas directed that adequate and uninterrupted water and electricity be provided to the hospital. He emphasized that uninterrupted availability of electricity and water is essential for critical health services such as critical care, and therefore, necessary arrangements should be ensured in advance. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. G.S. Jatra, CGMSC SDO Lalit Verma, and other relevant officials were present during the inspection.
