Chennai: 17-year-old Pranav Elango from Erode, Tamil Nadu, has turned a big dream into reality. Brown University, one of the world's most prestigious universities, has offered Pranav admission with a full scholarship of approximately ₹3.55 crore (approximately $35 million USD), covering his four-year tuition and living expenses. This scholarship will cover his four-year tuition, as well as living and other expenses. Pranav will now study Public Health and Applied Mathematics, where he will use mathematics, technology, and data to understand complex problems, find solutions, and improve people's lives.

In addition to Brown, he also received a 100% scholarship offer from the University of Hong Kong, demonstrating global recognition of his academic achievements. Pranav's admission to the Ivy League is a journey that goes beyond mere academic achievement. For Pranav, this moment represents years of learning, preparation, mentorship, and a growing desire to use his education to achieve something greater than himself.

His long-term ambition is to combine technology, mathematics, and public health to solve real-world challenges, especially those affecting underserved communities. From a dream in Erode to a new chapter at Brown, Pranav's journey is a reminder that ambition can begin anywhere, and true success lies not just in what one achieves, but in the impact one seeks to make.

At just 13 years old, he joined Dexterity Global's National Scholar Development Program. The mentorship and training he received over the years helped him develop not only academically but also as a leader and problem-solver. It inspired him to learn with curiosity, discipline, and a greater purpose.

His academic journey has been filled with remarkable achievements. He was recognized among the "Outstanding Cambridge Learners," including the honor of "World Topper" in IGCSE Mathematics, placing him among an elite group of high-performing students. But for Pranav, mathematics is more than just about scoring good marks. It's a means to understand problems and find ways to solve them. Mathematics with a Purpose Pranav's interest has blossomed in software, entrepreneurship, engineering, and data-driven problem-solving. His interests revolve around a big question: how can technology and data be used to improve people's lives?
