Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to Cover Jashpur in Tricolour; Multiple Events Planned Till August 17

Jashpur Nagar, August 10, 2026: Jashpur district is all set to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and national pride with a series of programmes under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ campaigns ahead of Independence Day.

As per the directions of the Government of India and the Chhattisgarh Government, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign will be conducted from August 9 to 17, while programmes based on the ‘Vande Mataram’ theme will be organised from August 7 to 15.

Collector Rohit Vyas has directed all concerned departments, Janpad Panchayats, urban local bodies, educational institutions and other organisations to conduct the programmes on a large scale and within the prescribed schedule.

The district administration has planned Tiranga Yatras, cycle-bike-car rallies, Tiranga runs and marathons, Tiranga pledges, selfie campaigns, Tiranga canvases and Tiranga Melas across the district. Public representatives, students, youth, women, self-help groups, NCC, NSS, Scouts and Guides, sportspersons, police personnel and common citizens will be encouraged to participate.

Patriotic Programmes in Schools and Colleges

Schools, colleges and universities will organise a range of activities under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ themes. These will include patriotic song competitions, discussions, seminars, Tiranga Yatras and Chhattisgarhi folk dance competitions.

Citizens will also be encouraged to take the Tiranga pledge, hoist the national flag at their homes and establishments, and participate in the Tiranga selfie campaign.

The district administration will also honour freedom fighters, heroes and their family members during local programmes to familiarise the younger generation with the sacrifices made during India's freedom struggle.

Tiranga Mela to Promote Local Products

A special Tiranga Mela will also be organised to provide a platform to local artisans, self-help groups and local products. Stalls selling flags, clothing, food items and other locally made products will be set up at designated venues.

Special exhibitions on the history and significance of the national flag and citizens’ responsibilities towards the nation will also be organised at the district, block, village and educational institution levels.

A special exhibition based on the ‘Vande Mataram’ theme will be organised on August 14. In the evening, the State Police Band will present ‘Vande Mataram’ and patriotic songs at public places.

Legal Awareness Camp Held on World Tribal Day

Students Educated on Child Marriage, Human Trafficking, Cyber Fraud and Other Legal Issues

Jashpur Nagar, August 10, 2026: A legal awareness camp was organised at Police Station Jashpur and the Pre-Matric Scheduled Tribe Boys' Hostel on the occasion of World Tribal Day on August 9 under the NALSA and SALSA schemes.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Satyendra Kumar Sahu, Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Jashpur.

The objective of the camp was to make members of the tribal community and hostel students aware of their legal rights, government welfare schemes and the availability of free legal aid.

Satyendra Kumar Sahu provided information on child marriage, human trafficking, drug de-addiction, child labour, cyber fraud and motor vehicle laws, besides explaining the basic provisions of the Constitution and the importance of law.

Judicial Magistrate Second Class Chautali Khandekar spoke to students about motor vehicle laws, drug abuse, Right to Education, good touch and bad touch, and protection of women from domestic violence.

Around 100 students of the Pre-Matric Scheduled Tribe Boys' Hostel, along with the hostel superintendent and staff members, attended the programme. Janardan Khare, District and Additional Sessions Judge (FTC), Suman Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Shweta Baghel, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Poonam Nashine and Neha Tirkey, Judicial Magistrates Second Class, were also present.

Jashpur Ready to Celebrate 80th Independence Day with Grandeur

Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal to Be Chief Guest at Main Function

Jashpur Nagar, August 10, 2026: Jashpur district will celebrate the 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026, with a series of programmes in a dignified and enthusiastic atmosphere.

According to the list issued by the General Administration Department, Tourism, Culture, Religious Trusts and Endowments Minister Rajesh Agrawal will be the chief guest at the district-level Independence Day function.

The main ceremony will be held at Ranjita Stadium in the district headquarters. Agrawal will hoist the national flag and read out Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s message to the people of the state.

Cultural programmes will also be organised during the ceremony. Freedom fighters’ families will be honoured with shawls and coconuts. Students who perform exceptionally well in cultural programmes, along with government officers and employees who have delivered outstanding work, will also be felicitated with certificates of appreciation.

Jashpur Records 4,802.8 mm Rainfall Since June 1

Manora Records Highest Rainfall in the District at 824.4 mm

Jashpur Nagar, August 10, 2026: Jashpur district has recorded 4,802.8 mm of rainfall from June 1 till date, against the 10-year average rainfall of 6,393.6 mm for the corresponding period.

The district recorded an average rainfall of 42.6 mm during the past 24 hours.

According to information from the Land Records Branch, rainfall recorded in different tehsils is as follows: Jashpur 494.5 mm, Manora 824.4 mm, Kunkuri 594.5 mm, Duldula 356.1 mm, Farsabahar 275.9 mm, Bagicha 415.3 mm, Kansabel 519.0 mm, Pathalgaon 494.1 mm, Sanna 585.2 mm and Bagbahar 243.8 mm.Manora recorded the highest rainfall in the district at 824.4 mm.

CM Sai Hears Public Grievances at Bagiya Camp Office

Officials Directed to Ensure Serious and Sensitive Resolution of Public Issues

Jashpur, August 10, 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met citizens at the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Bagiya during his Jashpur visit on August 9 and heard their demands and grievances.

Citizens raised issues related to medical treatment, financial assistance, education, employment and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, among other matters.

The Chief Minister patiently heard the concerns and directed the concerned officials to take necessary action as per rules and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes.

Sai said that resolving the problems of the common people remains one of the top priorities of the state government. He directed officials to deal with public-interest matters with seriousness and sensitivity and ensure their timely resolution.
