Dhamtari: BJP workers surrounded the Kotwali police station in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, after a video involving former minister and Kurud MLA Ajay Chandrakar went viral. BJP workers demanded that an FIR be filed against those who circulated the video on social media. The viral video claims that Ajay Chandrakar hoisted the BJP flag on Independence Day. The video sparked outrage among BJP worrs.

In protest, a large number of BJP workers reached the Kotwali police station and shouted slogans outside, demanding action. They claim that the video is being misrepresented to mislead the public. BJP District General Secretary Mahendra Pandit and Rakesh Sahu stated that the video is from a Mandal-level training program, where the party flag is hoisted at such events. They allege that some individuals have circulated this video in a false context on social media, tarnishing the image of the BJP and its leaders. BJP leaders stated that the party believes in nationalist ideology, and its programs begin with the slogan "Bharat Mata ki Jai." They stated that attempts to defame the BJP by spreading misleading information on social media will not be tolerated. BJP workers have demanded that the police investigate the matter and take action against those responsible.
