MAHTARI VANDAN YOJANA: Government employees took advantage of the Mahatari Vandan scheme! Recovery will now take place.
Bilha, Bilaspur. A case of irregularities has come to light in the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. An investigation has found 11 beneficiaries who were found ineligible for the scheme, but funds continued to flow into their accounts.
The investigation revealed that the spouses of these beneficiaries or themselves are employed in government service. These include families of teachers, assistant teachers, and other government empes.
According to the investigation, a total of ₹124,000 was deposited into the accounts of 11 ineligible beneficiaries. The department has now begun the process of refunding the funds.
Information about ineligible beneficiaries has also been sent to the Block Education Officer. Recovery action will be taken at the level of the concerned government employees as per rules. If the amount is not returned, recovery may be made by deducting it from their salary.
