CHHATTISGARH ELECTRICITY: e-KYC mandatory for electricity connections from September 1!
Raipur. There's a major update for electricity consumers. Aadhaar-based e-KYC will become mandatory from September 1st. CSPDCL has issued instructions to ensure Aadhaar authentication for consumers across the state.
E-KYC will be conducted for approximately 2.33 lakh consumers of the Bemetara and Saja Electricity Divisions. This includes connections ranging from domestic to agricultural, industrial, water, and street lighting.
Importantly, e-KYC will be completely free. Consumers can perform Aadhaar authentication from home using the "More Electricity" app. This facility will also be available at electricity offices.
Keep in mind that the names on your Aadhaar card and your electricity connection must match 100%. If the names differ, you'll need to first correct the name on your connection.
