Army soldier found dead in Delhi hotel room
New Delhi : A 26-year-old Army jawan was found dead in a hotel room in Satya Niketan under the jurisdiction of Delhi University's South Campus police station. Police recovered a suicide note from the spot. According to Delhi Police, on Saturday at around 12:19 pm, PCR received information that a man had allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Hotel Blue Moon Inn in Satya Niketan.
A police team then arrived at the hotel and found a man hanging from a ceiling fan. He was identified as Anil Sai Teja Vallepu, a resident of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, who served in the Army and was posted in Hisar. Police said the deceased had stayed at the hotel on August 19. A crime branch team inspected the scene and recovered a suicide note from the room. Police said the note did not make any allegations against anyone.
The body was then taken to Safdarjung Hospital for further legal proceedings. Police said they were taking action under Section 194 of the Indian Penal Code (BNSS), as per law.
