Mobile Medical Units will provide healthcare services closer to home to villagers in remote areas
Raipur, November 2026 / During his visit to Jashpur today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated four mobile medical units of the Indian Red Cross Society at the rest house complex. These mobile medical units will provide free healthcare services to residents of remote and rural areas of the district at their nearest markets. This initiative will be especially beneficial for residents of areas where long distances are required to reach health facilities.
Chief Minister Shri Sai stated on this occasion that the state government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of improved and quality healthcare reach every individual in society. Providing accessible healthcare, especially to citizens living in tribal-dominated and remote areas, is among our top priorities. He added that the government is continuously striving to ensure that no one is deprived of treatment due to lack of healthcare facilities.
The Chief Minister stated that mobile medical units will be an effective means of expanding access to healthcare services in a district like Jashpur, which is geographically diverse and has a forested area. Markets and haat-bazaars are important centers of rural life and the local economy. Having healthcare facilities available at these locations will make it easier for villagers to access healthcare while continuing with their daily activities. This will also reduce the time and expense of traveling to distant healthcare institutions for treatment.
Chief Minister Shri Sai praised the Indian Red Cross Society's initiative, stating that the Red Cross Society has played a significant role in the field of human service and public welfare. The launch of four mobile medical units will expand healthcare services in Jashpur district, directly benefiting citizens, especially those in need and remote areas.
He said that healthy citizens are the foundation of a prosperous and developed Chhattisgarh. The state government is strengthening health infrastructure and encouraging public welfare initiatives that ensure direct access to health services for citizens.
On this occasion, Raigarh MP Shri Radheshyam Rathiya, Jashpur MLA Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, Pathalgaon MLA Smt.
