Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's statement: It is a matter of pride and good fortune to get married in a mass marriage
Indore: After the initiative taken by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav to stop the wasteful expenditure of lakhs and crores of rupees in marriages, now a large number of people from well-off families are also getting married in mass marriage conferences. In the same sequence, in the mass marriage ceremony organized in Shipra, Indore, 251 couples got married by garlanding each other in the presence of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of good fortune in itself that when all sections of the society enjoy together on one platform, only then real unity is realized.

At the mass marriage ceremony, Dr. Mohan Yadav blessed the newlyweds and welcomed them with a shower of flowers. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav welcomed Mahamandaleshwar Uttam Swami with a garland and a coconut and received his blessings. Addressing the program, Mahamandaleshwar Uttam Swami said, "There is great power in collectivity. Social upliftment occurs only through such actions that honor the deprived, exploited, and oppressed sections of society."
Mass marriages prevent wasteful expenditure.
While talking to the media , CM Mohan Yadav said that "People often take huge loans for weddings in order to imitate others and show false prestige in the society and then suffer a lot in life in repaying it. We all need to avoid such show-off and culture."
He said, "Mass marriage ceremonies reduce unnecessary expenditure and alleviate the fear of families who cannot afford the wedding expenses. It is a privilege to get married in a mass marriage ceremony. I always encourage such events. I married both my sons in mass marriage conferences. Positions should not be important. Such examples are needed, and I follow them myself."

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav listened to the 129th edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Mann Ki Baat" program in Shipra, Indore district, on Sunday. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silawat were also present at the event, held at the Shipra Government Health Center.
