Raipur.  Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Chhattisgarh visit has been rescheduled. He was originally scheduled to arrive in Raipur on November 28th, but will now arrive tonight. All airport and security officials have been alerted in anticipation of Shah's visit. All security units, including the cricket team, have been placed on alert to ensure the smooth arrival of the Home Minister and subsequent events.

The 60th All-India DGP-IG Conference will be held from November 28th to 30th at the IIM campus in Naya Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will attend. The Prime Minister will be accommodated in the new Speaker's House (M-1), while Union Home Minister Amit Shah will stay in the Finance Minister's residence (M-11). Both bungalows have been prepared to VVIP standards.

At the conference, all states will present their crime control efforts. A common guideline will be issued by selecting a model state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be present at the inaugural session, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be present at the closing session. Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Raman Singh's bungalow will become the temporary PMO. Last year, in 2024, the DGP-IG conference was held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, attended by PM Modi. Chhattisgarh is hosting this prestigious event for the first time, which is considered a major achievement for the state.

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today participated in the Vishnu Mahayagya and Chakra Puja programme organised by the Kumhar community in Narayanpur village of Jashpur district.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister made several important announcements for the empowerment of the potter community. He informed that a modern glazing unit for potters will be established in the village of Goriya in Jashpur district through the Mati Kala Board, which will help the artisans here to produce products with better finishing and reach larger markets.

In the program, he announced Rs 25 lakh for the expansion of Mangal Bhawan of Kumhar Samaj and distributed electronic wheels to 100 potters of Surguja division.

Chief Minister Sai said that the potter community is an integral part of our cultural heritage. Chakra Puja is not merely the worship of the clay wheel, but a symbol of creation, creativity, and labor power. He explained that the electronic wheel will reduce potters' labor, speed up production, and improve the finishing of products, resulting in higher market prices.

He stated that the government is conducting training programs for potters related to modern technology, new designs, entrepreneurship, and marketing. Financial assistance is also being provided for purchasing equipment and the use of fairs, exhibitions, and online platforms is being promoted to connect them with the market. According to him, the government's priority is to gain national and international recognition for Chhattisgarh's clay art. Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, Padma Shri Jageshwar Yadav, along with numerous public representatives and a large number of citizens were present at the event.

Raipur: The state government on Thursday carried out a major administrative reshuffle, assigning new responsibilities to several IAS officers. The order includes positions at the levels of secretary, commissioner, director, and managing director. 

The biggest change has occurred for IAS officer Shikha Rajput Tiwari (IAS 2008). She has been transferred from Commissioner of Medical Education to Secretary of the Chhattisgarh State Election Commission. Upon her assumption of office, the post of Secretary of the Election Commission has been declared equivalent to the overtime pay scale of the Indian Administrative Service.

Dr. Priyanka Shukla (IAS 2009) has been transferred from the Health Department to become Commissioner of Comprehensive Education, with additional charge of the Textbook Corporation. Her position has also been declared equivalent to the Senior Category pay scale.

Kiran Kaushal (IAS 2009) has been transferred from Managing Director, Markfed to the post of Secretary in the Ministry. In important changes, Padum Singh Elma (IAS 2010) has been posted as MD, CSMCL (Chhattisgarh State Marketing Corporation Limited). Along with this, he has also been given additional charge of Beverages Corporation. As soon as he assumed charge, this post has also been declared equivalent to the senior category pay scale. On the other hand, 2011 batch IAS Sanjeev Kumar Jha has been made Director, Health Services and has been given additional charge of National Rural Health Mission. 

Jitendra Kumar Shukla, a 2012-batch IAS officer, has been appointed MD of Markfed. Ritesh Agarwal (2012 IAS) has been given additional charge of Commissioner of Medical Education. In addition, officials such as Iffat Ara, Santan Devi Jangde, Sukhnath Ahirwar, Dr. Renuka Srivastava, Rita Yadav, and Lokesh Kumar have also been assigned new responsibilities.

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the program 'Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman' organized at the Town Hall in the capital Raipur on the occasion of 75th Constitution Day today. Chief Minister Shri Sai, along with the people present, read out the preamble of the Constitution in public and expressed his allegiance to the Constitution. During this, the Chief Minister visited the exhibition organized on Constitution Day. He also watched a short film based on the Constitution and took a selfie with the public representatives to make the occasion memorable.

Chief Minister Sai stated that India, the world's largest democracy, has always progressed with faith in the Constitution. The Constitution gives every citizen the right to express their views freely and ensures freedom of expression. He added that the rise of ordinary citizens to positions such as MLAs and MPs is a result of the Constitution's liberal, inclusive, and democratic system.

Raipur. Preparations for the DGP-IG conference in Nava Raipur are going on in full swing and it is being told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Raipur on the evening of 28th, during which there will be neither a road show nor will he participate in any party programme.
DGPs of all the states of the country and officers of central agencies will be present in the DGP conference in Nava Raipur. Altogether about five IPS officers will be present. Along with top officers of the Union Home Ministry, officers of IB, NIA, CBI and intelligence agency RAW will be present in it. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other advisors will also be present here on all three days.

According to sources, the IB has taken over all preparations for the DGP conference. PHQ officers are assisting. Senior IB officers have arrived. They are holding continuous meetings to finalize all preparations for the conference. PM Narendra Modi will arrive in Raipur on the evening of the 28th.

There was earlier talk of a road show, but according to administrative sources, there will be no road show and he will not attend any party events. Modi will leave for Delhi on the evening of the 30th.

Raipur. Bastar Division Commissioner Doman Singh today reviewed the preparations for the division-level Bastar Olympics-2025. He inspected the sports grounds selected for the event at the divisional headquarters in Jagdalpur and took stock of the ongoing preparations there. He asked for strengthening the sports grounds as well as other arrangements. Commissioner Mr. Singh said in the meeting that Bastar Olympics is an important platform for the culture, sports talent and community participation of the Bastar region. All its arrangements should be ensured with high quality. He gave necessary guidelines to the officials regarding the venues, accommodation and transportation arrangements for the participants, other necessary facilities, technical arrangements, security and traffic management. 

Bastar IG Sundarraj P. instructed the officials in the meeting to complete all the arrangements including security arrangements on time, so that the participants and spectators do not face any inconvenience. He asked to pay special attention to important aspects like necessary arrangements for the participants of Nuwa Baat, availability of medical team, complete arrangements for the players coming from other districts, drinking water etc. In the meeting, separate responsibilities were also assigned to the officials for the division level organization of Bastar Olympics, which include responsibilities related to sports management, accommodation, food, transportation, cultural programs and technical operations. 

The meeting also reviewed the medals and trophies to be awarded to the winning players. Following the meeting, officials inspected the venues and sports grounds to review the preparations. Bastar Collector Mr. Haris S., Superintendent of Police Mr. Shalabh Sinha, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Prateek Jain, and Additional Collector and In-Charge Sports Officer Mr. Rishikesh Tiwari, along with officials from all relevant departments, were also present.

More than 391,000 athletes from all seven districts of the Bastar division registered to participate in the Bastar Olympics 2025. Winners of cluster, block, and district-level competitions will participate in the Bastar Olympics. Approximately 500 Nuva Baat teams, along with 3,000 athletes, coaches, and other support staff, will participate in the division-level competition. Football, volleyball, karate, weightlifting, and badminton competitions will be held at the City Ground during the division-level event. Hockey matches will be held at the Khelo India Center in Pandripani. Kabaddi, kho-kho, archery, athletics, and tug-of-war competitions will be held at the Dharampura Sports Complex. The opening and closing ceremonies of the division-level Bastar Olympics will be held at the Priyadarshini Stadium.

Raipur. Strengthening the Chhattisgarh government's rehabilitation and mainstreaming initiative, 25 surrendered Maoists were provided with high-quality 5G smartphones today at the Sukma Rehabilitation Center. Raipur. On the occasion of the 350th martyrdom centenary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Guru of Sikhism, a special Kirtan Samagam was organised at Ambikapur Gurudwara Sahib on Wednesday. The conference's security arrangements will be overseen by ADG Dipanshu Kabra and IG Amresh Mishra. In addition to the state police, central forces, intelligence, and other security agencies will also assist in the overall arrangements. Director Generals of Police (DGPs) from 33 states and union territories across the country, 20 DGs/ADGs of paramilitary forces, and 75 senior police officers will participate in the conference.

Last year, this conference was held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Hosting the DGP-IG conference for the first time in Chhattisgarh is considered a major achievement for the state.

Raipur . Questioning the government over the reduction in paddy procurement acreage, senior spokesperson of the State Congress Committee, Surendra Verma, said that Chhattisgarh farmers are distressed by the reduction in acreage based on bogus data from digital corpus surveys and land records. Instead of 21 quintals per acre, they are only able to sell 15 to 17 quintals of paddy per acre. Due to the government's ill will, the state's farmers are being exploited.

Senior spokesperson of the State Congress Committee, Surendra Verma, has said that due to the verbal orders of the government, different faulty arrangements have been made in different areas. In many places, digital surveys have been done, while in many places, on the basis of Khatiya Girdawari, without on-the-spot inspection, fake Anawari reports have been prepared and the limit for paddy purchase per acre has been fixed. Due to this kind of ill-will and mixed system of the government, the entire system has deteriorated. Conducting Girdawari is the job of the Revenue Department, but when farmers approach the Revenue Department with their complaints, they are being sent to the Food Department for resolution. Responsible officers of the Food Department are sending the farmers to the Agriculture and Cooperative Department. In this way, farmers struggling with four departments to get the errors rectified have become frustrated.

Senior spokesperson of the State Congress Committee, Surendra Verma, has said that on matching the Integrated Farmer Portal and Agri Stake Portal, many farmers are found missing, the registration of 5 lakh hectares of paddy crop area has decreased, out of this also the crop of the field has been shown as nil in the Digital Corp Survey, that is, the farmers who have sown paddy crop in their fields, their crop column has also been recorded as nil, due to which the farmers are being deprived of selling paddy. Reduction in the area of ​​farmers' fields has become a common problem for the farmers.

Senior spokesperson of the State Congress Committee Surendra Verma has said that the entire paddy of the farmers is ready, but due to showing less land in the records, the farmers are not able to sell their entire paddy, the farmers are suffering direct loss due to the mistake of the government and the administration. Farmers are continuously complaining to the Tehsil office, Revenue office, District Collector to the Ministers and MLAs but there is no hearing anywhere, no time limit has been fixed for the solution in this government, the erroneous Girdawari is not only the same in the Mohalla but the rights of the farmers are being tampered with, there should be transparency and accountability in an important work like Girdawari but it is not visible anywhere in this government. It is clear from the attitude of the administration that this government does not want to buy the entire paddy from the farmers.
