The Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government is assisting in institutional delivery of pregnant women and the provision of nutritious food to infants. Pregnant women from labour families are eligible for financial assistance of up to Rs 20,000 under this scheme.

Meanwhile, 703 people have benefited from the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana in Sukma district, which runs from January 2018 to December 2022. Mrs. Mehrunisha, a beneficiary of this scheme, stated that under the Minimata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, we received 20,000 rupees, which made us very happy. We have made a bank deposit for the child's future. Mrs. Priyanka Haldar, a Sukma resident, said the money was deposited in her account just a few days after the child was born.  It is critical for pregnant mothers to look after the health of both the child and the mother after the child is born. In many families, not getting nutritious food on time has a negative impact on the health of both the child and the mother. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has expressed deep sorrow over the death of five schoolchildren in a collision between an auto and a truck at Korer Chilhati Chowk. In this accident, four children were seriously injured. The Chief Minister has directed district administration officers to support the families of the deceased children and to provide the best treatment possible to the seriously injured children in the accident. The children who were injured in the accident were taken to Kanker District Hospital for treatment. The health department is assisting them in every way possible.

A total of 2 lakh 4 thousand 426 people in Surguja district have got free treatment under the ‘Mukhyamantri Shehri Slum Swasthya Yojana’ so far. Under this scheme, health camps are organized through dedicated Mobile Medical Units in the slum areas of the city, so that people do not have to go to the hospital for treatment of minor ailments. Four mobile medical units are being operated in Ambikapur Municipal Corporation and one in Nagar Panchayat Sitapur and Lakhanpur.

On Wednesday, 49-year-old Arjun Singh reached the health camp organized at Babupara for his health check-up. He had complaints of pain in his hands and feet and blood pressure. The doctor present at MMU examined his health and provided him with syrup and tablets. Along with this, BP medicine was provided free of cost after his checkup. Singh said that he comes to MMU from time to time for doctor consultations and medicines. He has got relief from hefty medical and medicine bills. He expressed his gratitude towards Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel for the commencement of this scheme.

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ms Pratishtha Mamgai said that till February 8, 2023, a total of 2 lakh 4 thousand 426 people have received free-of-cost treatment through MMU in urban areas in as many as 2765 health camps. Free-of-cost medicines were distributed to a total of 1 lakh 48 thousand 400 people and free medical tests of 40, 687 people were done.

Chhattisgarh's ambitious Godhan Nyaya Yojana, which was commenced on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, has given rise to an socio-economic revolution in the state with its launch. In a very short span of time, this scheme has proved its  significance and attracted the attention of the whole country. This unique scheme has given people a source of additional income and also has given employment opportunities especially to rural women. It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government is buying cow dung from cattle rearers under this scheme. Vermicompost is being made from the procured cow dung by self help groups of Gauthans . The positive impact of this public welfare scheme can be seen in the lives of numerous rural women. Similarly,the Swachh Manendragarh area level association are the direct witnesses of this change.

The turnover of the Swachh Manendragarh area level women association who are engaged in vermicompost manufacturing in the urban Gauthan of the Mahendragarh district headquarter under the state's new district Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur has reached Rs 1 crore. With the launch of the scheme in the year 2020, the work of cow dung procurement was started in numerous Gauthans across the state. Today, 100312 quintal vermicompost amounting to Rs 1 crore 32 thousand has been sold by this association. In this, the net profit of the group is Rs 36.73 lakh.

Savita Das, a member of the Swachh Manendragarh Area Level Association of Mahendragarh development block  which produces maximum vermicompost in the entire district, says that when the Godhan Nyaya Yojana was launched, they started the work of manufacturing vermicompost by joining the Gauthan of the city. She said that "As we started to make profit from production and sale, people's attitude towards us started changing. Through this scheme, many women have got means of self-employment and I have bought a two wheeler with the profit I got from the sale of vermicompost. Savita smiles and says that she comes to Gouthan in her two wheeler everyday.

Group's Vice President Premlata thanked the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel for this important scheme. Group President Mrs. Preeti Toppo says that she had taken some loan for her sister's wedding. But she repaid that loan from the dividend she got and  bought cycles for the children to go to school and also bought a TV set for the house. Earlier, the people of the house were a little angry because she was not able to give time at home, but now they are happy as she is earning a substantial income. Another member Augustina Ekka says that after the death of her husband, the family faced financial problems, but now she is working in Gauthan to support the family. She has a desire to have a two wheeler and hopes to get her own vehicle soon.

The way to self-reliance

There are 73 women in this group. That is, 73 women are directly associated with self-employment. In this Gauthan, some women associated with the work of vermicompost fertilizer production are from poor families, while some have never worked outside the house. Earning from this work has made them a strong pillar of their family and these women are creating milestones of self reliance constantly.

So far, over 62 thousand people have scheduled appointments to receive government documents at their homes under the scheme. On the other hand, nearly 51,000 citizens received their required official documents while sitting at home. Under the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, so far more than 01 lahks 25 thousand citizens have obtained information regarding obtaining government documents by contacting Mitan Yojana's toll-free number 14545. Under the direction of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and by the Urban Administration Development Department, the door access service 'Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana' was started on May 01, 2022, in all the 14 municipal corporations of the state to make government documents available to the citizens.

       Birth certificate, birth certificate correction, death certificate, death certificate correction, native certificate, marriage registration and certificate, income certificate, and other backward class certificates, scheduled caste , Scheduled Tribe certificate, shop establishment registration-related documents, copy of a land record, land information (land use), Aadhaar card registration, (for children up to 5 years) Aadhaar card address and mobile number correction, PAN number Services for obtaining application form, PAN update, and duplicate, etc. can be obtained from Mitan service sitting at home. After then, Mitan arrives at the applicant's house on the scheduled date and time and collects the appropriate documents. Durgapur, a village dominated by the Pando tribe, is a dependent village of Umjhar Gram Panchayat within the Baikunthpur development block of Koriya district. This area is home to 47 Panda tribe families. Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that it is imperative that a rural industrial policy be developed soon in order to create more employment and self-employment opportunities in rural areas along the lines of the new rural industrial policy. Mr. Baghel was addressing the online distribution program of cow dung purchase and dividend amount to cattle rearing villages, women groups, and Gauthan committees at his residential office today. As part of the program, he released an amount of Rs 8 crore and 23 lakh online.

Addressing the function, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that the Rural Industrial Parks associated with Gauthan are becoming functional in most of the places. Now before this work is complete, we have to work towards formulating rural industry policy, for this, the concerned department should complete the process soon. So that when the Rural Industrial Parks start functioning completely, the beneficiaries associated with them can be helped by taking loans from the bank and starting other businesses.

Congratulating the women groups associated with Gauthan including cattle rearers, the Chief Minister said that it is a very good thing that they are continuously making records. After payment of 8.23 crores, this figure will become Rs.403 crores 58 lakhs. Similarly, after payment of Rs 4.76 crore to cow dung vendors, this figure will be Rs 206 crore 49 lakh. Expressing happiness over the power units started for power generation from cow dung, he directed to connect the power generated from these units to the power grid and fix the price of electricity.

The Chief Minister stated that it is a matter of pride that 4927 Gauthans have become self-reliant in the state and have begun purchasing cow dung from their own savings. As of now, the Gauthan groups that used to make earthen lamps, vermicompost, etc. will now be contributing towards the production of electricity. As per the MOU signed for power generation in the past, Bemetara and Bastar have taken concrete shape at the ground level and Now the task of connecting the electricity produced by it to the power grid and fixing the price of the electricity produced from it will be completed soon.

While reviewing the unit for making paint from cow dung, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of happiness that 23 paint units are under process in 21 districts, and 13 units have been completed. More than 17 thousand liters of paint has been produced and an income of more than 22 lakh rupees has been earned. He said that schools and government offices will soon require a large amount of paint, so we have to produce natural paint by balancing the demand and supply so that paint can be supplied at the right time.

The state government is making consistent efforts to strengthen the economic condition of the needy people and families of the state by benefiting them through various schemes. Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyaya Yojana is being run by the state government for providing financial assistance to landless agricultural laborers and people associated with pauni-pasari occupations among other beneficiaries.

Under the scheme, work is being done in the district to identify the eligible beneficiaries and give them the benefits of the scheme so that they get the necessary financial assistance. A beneficiary Rekhalal, father Sadashiv age 70 years resident of Dhobnikala of Nawagarh Janpad Panchayat, said that the scheme is lending a helping hand to economically weaker families. My family does not have any agricultural land of its own and our financial condition is not so good. I earn a livelihood doing labour work on daily wages. 

Heaping praise on the scheme started by the state government, Rekhalal said this is a commendable initiative for the landless laborer families. Today, a meaningful scheme has been started to financially empower families who do not have any additional source of income other than wages. This is definitely going to be a huge success. 

He added that their festivals have become more colorful and happier with the government transferring the scheme amount ahead of festivals like Diwali and Holi. He said that the financial condition of his family has improved and they are living a better life than before. Today, I am not forced to ask for money from anyone. 

The nodal officer of the Rajiv Gandhi Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana of Nawagarh Janpad Panchayat office said that the state government has been providing continuous benefits to the common citizens through public welfare schemes from the beginning. Under the scheme, annual financial assistance of Rs 7,000 is being provided to the beneficiaries.

The 'Bunkar Bhavan' of Patan is still not in good condition. Action will be taken to repair the building so that the maximum number of people can get employment. Collector will inspect it and take action for further improvement. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said this in a programme organized in Patan on the occasion of 'Parameshwari Jayanti' on Saturday.

Chief Minister said in his address that every year 'Parameshwari Jayanti' is organized in Patan by the Dewangan community. The community is connected to agriculture and weaving. The state has procured 107 lakh metric tonnes of paddy this year and all this happened in a convenient and smooth manner. This year 23.5 lakh farmers have sold paddy. The farmers' growing paddy and paddy area has increased rapidly. All this has been possible because of the schemes of our government. Dannex has been started in Bastar. Excellent work has been done in Bastar in the textile sector. RIPA i.e. Rural Industrial Parks are being established which will open ample opportunities for communities like yours.

He added that a total of 9 SAGES schools have been started in Patan. Earlier there were only two community halls here. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel praised the farmers who donated at Vishal Kisan Annadata Sammelan held in Rajnandgaon development block village Bharregaon. According to the Chief Minister, the farmers of the state have donated more than 15 lakh quintals of  Paddy stubble in Gauthan in response to the Pairadan appeal. In addition, 12 thousand 230 farmers in this area have done commendable work by donating approximately 95 thousand 680 quintals of paddy stubble to 414 Gauthans. This also works for the arrangement of fodder for the cattle.

In addition to this, Chief Minister appreciated the farmers who donated paddy stubble by honoring them.
